Miami Seaquarium Water Safety
The Miami Seaquarium is holding "Whale Tales" this weekend. It's a program to help parents and their children learn about water safety. Some tips:
Always swim with a buddy
Be cool -- follow the rules
Look before you leap
Think so you don't sink
Reach or throw - don't go
Don't just pack it - wear your jacket
Whale Tales is Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Miami Seaquarium on Key Biscayne. For more information, visit www.miamiseaquarium.com.
Photo Fiddle
Digital cameras have almost completely replaced film. Digital makes taking pictures easier and turns out higher quality photos, but many of us are clueless about how to display and share those pictures. Photo Fiddle can help. For information on how to turn your photos into works of art, visit photofiddle.com.
Ron Magil's Wildlife Photography
Ron Magil is a goodwill ambassador for the Miami Metrozoo. He is also a talented photographer. Magil's work takes him around the world and he's documented his journeys through photos. Magil's work will be on display at the Art Gallery of the First National Bank of South Miami at 5750 Sunset Drive. For more information, call 305-733-5108.
The Lion King
The Lion King is now playing at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The show combines Oscar-winning music, artistic puppetry and some of the most talented actors and actresses in the business. The Lion King is playing now through Sunday, June 3. Tickets range from $25 to $75. For information and tickets, visit www.browardcenter.org.
Departure Lounge
This week Joel Connable showed us how the web site www.airfarewatchdog.com can help you find the lowest airfares around. For more travel deals, visit nbc6.net/departurelounge.
