NBC 6's Kelly Craig Honored As A 'First Lady Of Broward'

DAVIE, Fla. -- The Broward County Fair honored WTVJ-NBC 6 anchor Kelly Craig as one of the 12 "First Ladies of Broward."

The women were honored at the First Ladies of Broward Awards & Fiesta Luncheon on Wednesday, presented by the Fair, Bank of America and Viva Broward at the Signature Grand in Davie.

The women are selected for their commitment and dedication to the community.

In her sixteen years with WTVJ, Kelly Craig has served as the Honorary Chairperson for the March of Dimes and hosted telethons for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Leukemia Society. She has also hosted fundraisers for the Alzheimer's Foundation, Miami Junior League, Hadassah, the Scleroderma Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, the Simon Weisenthal Center, the Dade County Women's Chamber of Commerce, Becca's Closet and Actor's Playhouse at the Miracle Theater.

Kelly said her greatest professional challenge and accomplishment was anchoring around the clock during Hurricane Andrew in 1992.
