"No peace until justice." That's what a mother said after her attorney accused Bay County authorities of covering up their role in her son's death.

Martin Anderson died Jan. 6 after a confrontation at a boot camp in Panama City run by Bay County sheriff's officials. Surveillance video showed the 14-year-old had been struck, kicked and dragged to the ground by several guards.

The sheriff's office won't comment on the cover-up allegations. But a spokeswoman says seven drill instructors and a nurse who witnessed the altercation will be among about 20 people who lose their jobs when the camp closes next month. The closure plans had already been announced.

The family's attorney says they want any trial in the case moved to another area to ensure a fair proceeding. No one has been charged with a crime, but the family has threatened to sue.

Hillsborough County State Attorney Mark Ober is investigating. He also observed the second autopsy done in Tampa. The U.S. Attorney's office in Tallahassee and the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division are also investigating.
