MIAMI -- A former South Florida Catholic priest silently faced a judge on Monday in his arraignment on charges of drugging and raping young boys.Neil Doherty, 62, was arrested in February and is being held without bond on five sex-related charges.Neither he nor his attorney spoke at the hearing, so the judge entered an automatic not guilty plea.
Reports from the Archdiocese of Miami show there are multiple credible allegations of sexual abuse by Doherty, dating back to the 1970s.
