STUART, Fla. -- A Florida fisherman made quite a catch on an outing this weekend.Jerry MacBride plucked an 11-foot albino Burmese python from the banks of the Indian River lagoon in Stuart, near Port St. Lucie.Images: 11-Foot Burmese Python
The fisherman took the snake home because he knew it did not belong in the Florida wild. Before turning it over to a local snake expert, MacBride also took the snake to his office.He works at a Florida sportsman magazine.Snakes In The News
