Should YouTube Get Blame For Teen Beating Video?

NEW YORK -- Some people might be wondering if YouTube should get any of the blame for eight Florida teenagers allegedly beating another teen just so they could post the attack on the video sharing Web site.
Media experts said the answer to that question is basically no. Kelly McBride of the Poynter Institute journalism think tank in St. Petersburg said sites like YouTube actually have a duty to share the video. She said while it may have been done to get attention, the clip "was incredibly revealing."The teens have been arrested on charges that they beat the other teen so they could make a video of the attack to post online.A sheriff who handled the case called it "an animalistic attack" because the teens lured one of their peers into the home for the very purpose of filming the attack and posting it online.
