Top Hat Luncheon Honors Women Leaders

The Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority held its annual Top Hat luncheon at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday.

A parade of hats and pink and green colors marked the event, which raises money college scholarships.

Among the women honored at the event was Robyn Motley, the chief financial officer with the South Florida Sun Sentinel and Veda Coleman Wright, public information officer with the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

NBC6 reporter Sharon Lawson hosted the event, which is held during Women's History Month.
