A massive search was under way on Friday for a Carnival cruise ship crewmember who went missing at sea.

The 46-year-old crewmember vanished from the Carnival Glory between 2:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., investigators said.

The ship was en route to Nassau, Bahamas, when the employee was reported missing.

Rescue crews, including the U.S. Coast Guard, FBI and local Nassau authorities scoured the area in search of the crewmember.

Officials did not release the name of the missing person, but they said he is not an American citizen.
