MIAMI -- The Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade posed with a sense of style and swagger in a photo shoot for Ocean Drive Magazine on Monday.
"Ain't nobody dope as me," Wade said. "I'm just so fresh and so clean."
Wade was dressed from head to toe in white and khaki."This is Miami," he said. "So you want to come out with something light-colored."Miami's main man spoke with NBC 6 in an exclusive interview about the honor of being named Ocean Magazine's top power player in its October issue."(It's) unexplainable, big Kool-Aid smile," Wade said. "It's crazy because I get to brag with Coach Riley and Shaq and them a little bit. I get to put myself up there with those guys. But it's great. It's an honor."It is an honor that the NBA star said he does not take lightly."It's a total honor to be named No. 1 in anything," he said. "But to be on a list that has to do with power and influence more than anything, it's truly an honor."Jerry Powers, the founder and chairman of Ocean Drive Magazine, said his staff narrowed a list of 3,000 power players in South Florida down to 100."(We nominated people) who are either celebrities, people you go to, people who get things done, people who have a lot of that green stuff called money," Powers said.Wade is worth millions of dollars. In the issue, the basketball star talked about fashion and life after basketball. He was quoted as saying he does not want to be one of those guys who is 40 years old and still trying to play. However, he said, he is OK with the limelight for now."I'm just being me because the person that I have been in my life has gotten me to this point," Wade said. "So there's no need to change."
