Fidel Castro Reportedly Writing Memoirs

Fidel Castro was known for being able to hold speeches that lasted for hours. Now, Castro is apparently busy writing his memoirs.

Starting Wednesday, the Cuban press will begin running installments of an essay they say was written by the dictator.

It's called "The Empire and the Independent Island" and is as a memoir on Castro's view of U.S.-Cuba relations.

The dictator, who turned 81 on Monday, has not been seen for more than a year since handing over power to his brother Raul.
