MIAMI -- New evidence Friday night showed a man's bizarre hobby led to his shooting death in the Miami area known as Little Haiti.

The man died June 23 inside his store on the corner of Northwest 45th Street and Second Avenue.

Police said 20-year-old Perry Jerel Bailey shot 52-year-old Manuel Cordero.

Police had originally thought Cordero died of electrocution, but an autopsy showed three bullets lodged in his chest.

However, as police were investigating they said they found something just as bizarre: hundreds of photographs of women's behinds.

Cordero had a hobby of taking pictures of plus-sized women and their clothed behinds, police said.

Residents in the neighborhood said Cordero would have women come in to the store to be photographed and he would also take random Polaroids of women walking down the street.

Police said Cordero was going to take photographs of one of Bailey's friends, but Bailey wanted to rob Cordero. Police said Bailey took Cordero in the back of the store, robbed him and allegedly shot him.

Police received an anonymous tip to 911 about Bailey's whereabouts and they followed up on it. They said they also got surveillance video of Bailey using Cordero's credit card at a Wal-Mart.

Bailey has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Miami-Dade County Jail.
