UDAIPUR, India -- Many think of dogs as man's best friend. But can they be best friends to monkeys, too?

A monkey in India has become friends with a local dog.

The pair live in a small hotel in the western Indian town of Udaipur.

Owners said the two not only play together, they also eat and sleep in the same specially built cage.

Visitors to the hotel say they love seeing the unique bond formed between the two different animals.
