A British woman is claiming to be the owner of the world's smallest dog.

Tiny Tim is still just a puppy. However, his owner, Mandy Marks, says Tiny hasn't grown since he was four weeks old.

At 3 inches tall at the shoulder, Marks says Tiny Tim is the world's smallest dog, a title currently held by a Yorkshire terrier called Whitney.

Marks is used to small dogs. Tim's mother, a Chihuahua named Sparkles and his father, a Shi-tzu named Patch, are no giants either, but Tim is by far the smallest she's raised.

In video footage supplied to NBC, Tiny Tim can be seen trying to crawl inside a small can and running besides his much-larger canine companions.
