Sean Penn, Robin Wright Penn Call Off Divorce
Couple Withdraws Divorce Petition From Court

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- Oscar winning actor Sean Penn and his wife, Robin Wright Penn, have withdrawn their divorce petition. A Marin County Superior Court commissioner dismissed divorce proceedings Tuesday between the couple. The dismissal came a day after the pair attended an Eddie Vedder concert together at the University of California at Berkeley, where Penn reportedly went on stage to dedicate a song to his wife.
Neither Wright Penn nor Penn attended Tuesday's hearing. No comment has been released on the latest development. The couple had filed for divorce in December.Penn won an Oscar for Best Actor for "Mystic River" in 2004 and was previously nominated in the category for "Dead Man Walking," "Sweet and Lowdown" and "I am Sam." He also directed such films as 2007's "Into the Wild."Wright Penn has starred in such films as "The Princess Bride," "Forrest Gump" and most recently, the motion-capture action fantasy "Beowulf."
