NAPLES, Fla. -- A 17-year-old student in Naples was kicked out of school for mooning his classmates during a school fashion show.

Nick Sofos said he wanted to give his classmates something to remember.

His dad supported his son's idea, but told Sofos to make sure he was wearing something underneath his pants during the prank.

School officials were not amused and gave Sofos a choice -- alternative school or expulsion.

"I had no choice at that point. If I didn't enroll him at Phenix he wasn't going to any school," said Tony Sofos, Nick's father.

But Tony Sofos said the Phenix school has no advanced programs, and when his son isn't joking around he's an "A" student.

Sofos is now fighting for a hearing on the expulsion threat.
